Crown Prince receives condolences on death of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz received at his palace in Riyadh yesterday several visitors who came to offer their condolences on the death of Riyadh Governor Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The guests included Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa; Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa; Sayyid Harib bin Thuwaini Al-Said, envoy of the Sultan of Oman; Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, son of the Emir of Qatar; and Nabil Shaath, representative of the Palestinian President.
Today, Crown Prince Salman received additional condolence visits from Bahraini Prince Khalid bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa; former Iraqi President Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari; former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri; several senior civilian and military officials; and a large gathering of citizens.
Many world leaders have also offered their condolences through telephone calls and cables. Crown Prince Salman has received calls from Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi; Jordan’s King Abdullah II; and Lebanese President Michael Suleiman. Arab League (AL) Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu have sent statements paying their respects.
For his part, the Crown Prince has expressed gratitude for all the well-wishes.
