King Abdullah, U.S. Secretary of State Clinton hold meeting

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met today in Rawdhat Khuraim, near Riyadh.  During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States and the Palestinian issue and international efforts to revive the troubled peace process.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Chief of the General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.

On the U.S. side, the meeting was also attended by U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom James Smith, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, and Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs Philip J. Crowley.

Secretary Clinton arrived earlier in the day and left for Jeddah following a luncheon hosted by King Abdullah in her honor.
