February 8, 2008

Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs Prince Khalid bin Sultan yesterday toured Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.

The Royal Saudi Air Force is currently at Nellis participating in the Red Flag air combat training exercise with the US Air Force and the air forces of other friendly nations.

Accompanied by Saudi Air Force commander Prince Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Al-Faisal, Prince Khalid watched a mock battle between Saudi and US forces. He also met with the Saudi group participating in Red Flag.

Red Flag is a realistic combat training exercise involving the air forces of the United States and its allies, and is conducted on the Nevada Test and Training Range, north of Las Vegas. It is one of a series of advanced training programs administered by the US Air Force Warfare Center and Nellis through the 414th Combat Training Squadron.
