Prince Saud meets with Algerian President

Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika received Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal in Algiers yesterday. During the audience, Prince Saud delivered a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz expressing his profound sorrow and condolences for the recent terrorist attack against a gas facility in Algeria, which killed scores of people. In a statement released after the meeting, the Saudi Foreign Minister said that Algeria has contributed to international stability and security through its counterterrorism efforts. He added that the meeting with President Bouteflika dealt with boosting bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During his two-day trip, Prince Saud met with a number of other Algerian officials, including Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci.
