Saudi officials receive Council on Foreign Relations delegation

Assistant Speaker of the Shoura Council Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Barrak received in Riyadh today a delegation representing the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Dr. Al-Barrak welcomed the delegation and reiterated the importance of the strong relations between the Kingdom and the United States in the political, economic and cultural domains. The visitors were briefed on the role of the Shoura Council and met with members of its Foreign Affairs Committee. The CFR delegation, headed by Council member Daniel Rose, was also received today by Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Director General of the Diplomatic Studies Institute, Ambassador Saad Al-Ammar.
Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz also met today with Jeffrey Immelt, Chairman and CEO of General Electric (GE), and his delegation. During their talks, they reviewed the company’s health and industrial-related activities in Saudi Arabia, as well as technology training and the employment by GE of Saudi youths.
