Kingdom increases aid to Syrian people

Today, Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf announced today at the Second International Humanitarian Pledging Conference on Syria held in Kuwait that Saudi Arabia has increased its financial assistance for the Syrian people by $60 million, bringing the total for disbursement during the coming period to $250 million. Al-Assaf, who led the Kingdom’s delegation to the conference, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the Syrian people.  He stated, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to provide support for the Syrian refugees with aid totaling $448 million, about $260 million of which has already been paid in collaboration with a number of institutions working in the relief field for the Syrian people.”
