OIC inaugurates construction of 100 housing units in Pakistan

The Secretary General of the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, inaugurated on Tuesday the construction of 100 housing units in D.G. Khan Village in Pakistan’s Punjab Province. This marks the beginning of the first phase of a project to build 600 housing units in six provinces. The project is being funded by contributions from the staff of the OIC General Secretariat and OIC organs, in addition to assistance from Cameroon and Guyana.
The ceremony was attended by Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and high-ranking government officials, dignitaries and guests.
