Egyptian President visits the Kingdom

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arrived in the Kingdom today for a brief visit. He was received at Riyadh Air Base by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

 

Later, the two leaders held consultations at King Abdullah’s palace in Riyadh.

The meeting focused on the crisis in Gaza and the need for an immediate ceasefire.

The session was also attended by Chairman of Allegiance-Pledge Commission Prince Misha’al bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Adviser to the King Prince Abdulellah bin Abdulaziz and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Mohieddin Nazir.

The Egyptian delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Gheit, Minister of Information Anas Fiqqi, Chief of General Intelligence Omar Suleiman, Chief of the President’s Court Dr. Zakaria Azmi and Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom Suleiman Awad.

President Mubarak departed Riyadh following the meeting.
