King Abdullah receives U.N. Secretary General

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon at his residence in New York yesterday evening. At the outset of the audience, Ban expressed pleasure over meeting with the Saudi leader and was reassured regarding the health of the King, who recently underwent successful back surgery. Then they discussed the latest regional and international developments, the efforts being exerted by the U.N. for the achievement of peace and security in the world, and global humanitarian projects.

The meeting was attended by President of the General Intelligence Presidency Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz; Secretary General of the National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Chief of the National Guard Prince Meteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Advisor to the King Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; and Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Khalid Al-Nefaisi.
