King Abdullah receives German Foreign Minister

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received German Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle and the accompanying delegation at his palace in Riyadh yesterday. During the meeting, Westerwelle conveyed the greetings of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the Saudi monarch, and then a number of regional and international issues were discussed. The session was also attended by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal; Advisor to the King Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Saudi Ambassador to Germany Dr. Osama Shobokshi; and German Ambassador to the Kingdom Volkmar Wenzel.
Since his arrival in the Kingdom, the German Foreign Minister has met with a number of senior officials, including Finance Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf; Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz; and Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
