Prince Saud delivers message to Syrian President

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal held a meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in Damascus today, during which he delivered a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. According to a statement, the message reviewed the current regional situation and offered suggestions for reinforcing inter-Arab cooperation.
Afterwards, Prince Saud reported that his talks with President Al-Assad tackled several issues, including the Mideast peace process and the necessity of unifying Arab ranks.
Answering a question regarding Iraq, Prince Saud said that both the Kingdom and Syria are hopeful that the upcoming elections will help solve the problems plaguing that country.
