King Abdullah arrives in Muscat to attend GCC Summit

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz arrived in Muscat today to lead the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the 29th Summit of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.


The King was received at the airport by Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman.

After his arrival, King Abdullah met separately at his residence in Muscat with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Hamad Al Thani and the U.A.E.’s President Sheikh Khalifa Al Nahyan. The leaders discussed the GCC summit’s agenda.

The official delegation accompanying the King includes Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Chief of General Intelligence Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud, Advisor to the King Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Saud, Prince Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mohamed bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Labor Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi, Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani and a number of other senior officials.
