Third Saudi plane delivers aid to Yemen

November 7, 2008

A third Saudi cargo plane arrived last night in Yemen carrying relief supplies for victims of recent flooding.

Eighty-two tons of food, tents, quilts and electricity generators were delivered. The Saudi airlift began on November 2 after torrential rains and floods devastated the Hadramout, Al-Mahra and Al-Hudaida provinces.

Saudi Arabia has donated a total of $100 million to help Yemen cope with the natural disaster.
