Saudi aid delivered to Palestinians

The Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People has launched the second phase of an ambitious aid program for resident of the Gaza Strip.


Relief supplies, included baskets of food and other necessities, are being delivered to the impoverished area.

Jamal Hamad, a spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA) in Gaza, said that the Saudi program is part of an agreement to support a number of projects and programs that will provide $6 million worth of food, medical supplies and fuel to the Palestinians.
