Thousands of pilgrims pass through Halat Ammar

December 4, 2009

Tens of thousands of foreign pilgrims have departed the Kingdom over the past few days through Halat Ammar border checkpoint into Jordan, where authorities are working around the clock to provide proper facilities, services and security for the visitors. The effort is being supervised by Tabuk Governor Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, who serves as the General Supervisor of the city’s Hajj and Umrah Works Committee. Every pilgrim leaving through Halat Ammar has been given a copy of the Holy Qur'an printed at King Fahd Printing Complex, as a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. During this year’s Hajj, Halat Ammar has received more than 300,000 pilgrims and visitors.
