King Abdullah underwent successful back surgery in New York

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, underwent successful surgery today, Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Royal Court said in a statement issued in Riyadh today. "During surgery, a blood clot was removed, a slipped disk was adjusted, and an affected vertebral body was stabilized. May God the Almighty protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and grant him health and a speedy recovery."
Abdullah arrived in New York Monday morning to receive treatment for a herniated disc and a blood clot.
