Saudi Royal Court announces death of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz

The Royal Court today issued the following statement:

With deep sorrow and grief, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud mourns the death of his brother, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, who died at dawn this morning, Saturday 11/24/1432 (10/22/2011). His passing occurred outside the Kingdom following an illness, God bless his soul. Funeral prayers will be held, God willing, on Tuesday, 11/27/1432 (10/25/2011) following Asr (afternoon) prayers at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.

The Royal Court extends its condolences to the Saudi people and asks God Almighty to bestow upon Crown Prince Sultan His mercy, forgiveness and eternal peace, and grant him the best reward for his religion and his country.
