King Abdullah receives Egypt’s Interim President

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received Egypt’s Interim President Adli Mansour at his palace in Jeddah today. During the meeting, President Mansour thanked the Saudi government and people for supporting Egypt and helping it overcome its recent economic crisis. King Abdullah reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for Egypt’s fight against terrorism and sedition. The two leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation and reviewed regional and international issues.
The audience was attended by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz; Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al-Faisal; Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal; Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz; Minister of the National Guard Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Interior Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz; Vice Foreign Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; President of the Crown Prince’s Court Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja; and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmed Kattan.
The Egyptian delegation included Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy; Chief of Staff of the Army Abdel Moemen Fouda; Presidential Advisor for Political Affairs Dr. Mostafa Hijazi; Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Afifi Abdul Wahab; and Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Ihab Badawy.
After the meeting, Crown Prince Salman hosted a luncheon in honor of the Egyptian president at his palace in Jeddah.
