Results of municipal elections begin being reported

The Chairman of the Municipal Elections Committee, Jeddah Mayor Hani Abu Ras, announced the results of the primary nominations for municipal councils in seven constituencies in Jeddah today. He noted that the final formation of the Jeddah Municipal Council will be announced on October 16. The number of voters in Makkah Province exceeded 97,000; ballots were cast last Thursday to choose representatives from 344 candidates competing for 44 seats in 16 regional municipal councils.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Asir Committee for Municipal Elections, Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Khalil, also announced the candidates for the municipal councils in Asir Province during a press conference today. He reported that 82,000 voters in the region chose between 680 candidates.

Finally, the Riyadh Committee for Municipal Elections announced the winning candidates for municipal councils in seven constituencies in Riyadh, as well as the results for municipal councils associated with Riyadh Principality. The Committee Chairman, Riyadh Mayor Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al-Muqrin, noted that the winning candidates in Afif Governorate and Bajadiyah Center will be announced on Monday.
