King Abdullah receives head of U.S. Central Command

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received the head of U.S. Central Command, Gen. James Mattis, and his accompanying delegation in Jeddah this afternoon. During the audience, the U.S. official conveyed to the King the greetings of President Barack Obama, which were reciprocated. A number of issues of importance to both countries were then reviewed.
The meeting was attended by Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqrin bin Abdulaziz; Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Advisor to the King Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Minister of State and President of the Court of the Cabinet Presidency Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; and the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom James B. Smith.
