King orders hosting of 1,400 pilgrims for this year’s Hajj season

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has ordered the sponsoring of 1,400 Muslim pilgrims from around the world during this year’s Hajj season, according to an announcement made by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh. Since its inception, the Kingdom’s Hosting Program has provided nearly 2,000 Muslims the opportunity to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. This year, the pilgrims will come from Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Singapore, Myanmar, Japan, Laos, Bhutan, New Guinea, Taiwan, South Korea, the Maldives, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, South Sudan and other African countries.
