Crown Prince chairs Cabinet session (9/24/12)

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah this afternoon. At the outset, he thanked God Almighty for the countless blessings being witnessed by the Kingdom, characterizing the unity of ranks, security and stability of Saudi Arabia as the culmination of its eagerness to implement the teachings of Islam since its unification by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud.
On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and in his own name, Crown Prince Salman expressed his appreciation of the leaders of numerous friendly countries for their congratulations toward the Kingdom on the occasion of its 82nd National Day (according to the Hijra calendar). He also thanked Saudi citizens for their good wishes and prayed for the Kingdom’s continued security and stability.
Afterwards, the Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports on the latest developments in the Arab, regional and international arenas. The ministers expressed hope that the deliberations of the 67th session of United Nations General Assembly will contribute to finding peaceful solutions to various conflicts and achieving world security and stability.
The Cabinet then discussed a number of issues in the domestic arena.
Addressing its weekly agenda, the Cabinet formed an ad hoc committee to consider the Saudization of jobs in the field of operation and maintenance in the governmental sector; approved two memoranda of understanding between the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Saudi Ministry of Interior and both the Polish General Inspectorate for Financial Information and the Financial Control Department of the Belorussian Control Commission for cooperation in the field of exchange of financial intelligence regarding money laundering and terror financing; approved a general agreement for cooperation with Mauritania; approved a memorandum of understanding regarding political consultations between the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign, International Trade and Cultural Relations; and authorized the Minister of Finance to sign a draft agreement with Luxembourg in the field of avoiding double taxation and income tax evasion.
