Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom Jamal Al-Shobaki has expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for his initiative to host Palestinian pilgrims during the 1433 H. Hajj season. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Saudi King has invited 2,000 Palestinians to perform the pilgrimage at his own expense. In a press statement issued yesterday, Ambassador Al-Shobaki commended the Kingdom’s continuing support for the Palestinian people and their quest to establish their own state.
Palestinian Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs Mahmoud Habbash also lauded King Abdullah’s gesture. In a press release, Habbash said that half of the pilgrims will come from the West Bank, while the other half will originate from the Gaza Strip.
