Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the outcomes of the talks held by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi. The Cabinet was also briefed on contacts with a number of foreign leaders on the latest regional and international developments, especially the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza from continuous Israeli aggression, and the deterioration of situations in Syria and Iraq. The cabinet renewed the Kingdom's call on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards these humanitarian tragic situations.
The Council of Ministers welcomed Mr. Mohammed Bin Faisal Abu Saq on his appointment as Minister of State and member of the Council of Ministers for Majlis Al-Shura Affairs.
During their meeting, the Cabinet approved the participation of the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, in the membership of the executive committee on following up the implementation of the project of public transport in Madinah set forth in Section V of the Council of Ministers' Decision No. 2 of 01/01/1435 AH; approved the appointment of members of the board of directors of the National Center for Social Studies and Research; approved the Bureau of Audit and Investigation's replacement of the Board of Grievances in the membership of the Board on Disciplining Members of the Twaif of Motwifeen, Agents, Guides and Zamazmah, stipulated in Article 2 of the Rules of Disciplining Members of the Twaif of Motwifeen, Agents, Guides and Zamazmah issued by the Council of Ministers decision No. 79 on 14 / 5/1400 AH.
