King Abdullah, Egyptian President Al-Sisi hold bilateral meetings in Jeddah

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received at his palace in Jeddah this evening President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi of Egypt.  President Al-Sisi arrived in Saudi Arabia earlier in the evening on his first official visit to the Kingdom.  The two leaders discussed a number of issues, particularly the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and efforts to stop Israel's aggression on the Gaza Strip.  The two leaders also discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples in all fields.  Before their meetings, King Abdullah awarded President Al-Sisi the King Abdulaziz Order of Merit, the Kingdom’s highest honor.

The meeting was also attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Minister; Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard; and Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior.

In the evening, Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin hosted a dinner in honor of President Al-Sisi on behalf of King Abdullah.
