Crown Prince holds weekly Cabinet meeting in Jeddah

Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz began the Cabinet session in Jeddah today with a briefing on the consultations made last week by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz with foreign officials, including a meeting with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Cabinet reviewed a number of domestic issues, including the preparations contained in the plan of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque to serve Umrah performers during the month of holy month of Ramadan. Crown Prince Sultan directed all relevant agencies to redouble their efforts to provide all necessary services and facilities to pilgrims.
Next, the Cabinet highlighted the advancement of Saudi Arabia from the fourteenth rank to the eighth rank globally for attracting foreign direct investment, as laid out in a report from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
After reviewing its weekly agenda, the Cabinet approved the final accounts of the Human Resources Development Fund and the Saudi Railways Organization for fiscal year 1428/1429H.; approved the assignment of overseeing health training centers and institutes to the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties; and authorized the President of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) to sign a draft agreement in the field of space exploration and peaceful uses of outer space with Brazil.
