Shura Council welcomes World Conference on Dialogue

The Shura (Consultative) Council today stressed the importance of the World Conference on Dialogue, which was held July 16-18 in Madrid on the initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Chairman Saleh bin Homaid said that by proposing the conference, King Abdullah sent a clear message to the world that Islam is a religion of humanity and tolerance, and that it encourages coexistence and respect for human rights.

The Council also approved a draft agreement with Germany on the avoidance of double taxation and debated a draft convention on air transport services with Eritrea.
