Foreign Imams Banned from Working in Mosques in Makkah Province

Makkah Governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has ordered that non-Saudis be barred from working as imams (preachers) in the region’s mosques after a large number of foreign imams were found to be working in places of worship in Al-Leith and Al-Qunfuda, Saudi Gazette
reported today. Prince Khaled instructed regional police and immigration to enforce the ban.
