Terror suspects sentenced

The Special Criminal Court in Jeddah on yesterday sentenced seventeen terror suspects, 16 Saudis and a Yemeni, to jail terms ranging from six months and 28 years, Saudi Gazette report today.   The convicts were part of 71 men belonging to Al-Nakheel Cell, who were arrested in 2006 following a raid on their hideout in Riyadh’s Al-Nakheel district.

The charges against the suspects included forming terror cell, embracing deviant ideology, shooting at security men, disobeying rulers, targeting princes, security men and scholars, and possession of unlicensed weapons.
