Islamic Development Bank meeting begins in Jeddah

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz attended the opening of the 33rd annual meeting of the Council of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group in Jeddah.

The two-day meeting is being attended by ministers of finance, economy and planning of the 56 Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member nations.

Headquartered in Jeddah, the IDB participates in equity capital and grant loans for productive projects and enterprises and provides financial assistance to member countries in other forms for economic and social development. It aims to foster the economic development and social progress of member countries and Muslim communities individually as well as jointly in accordance with the principles of Shari’ah.
