May 25, 2009
Human Rights Commission Chairman Dr. Bandar Al-Eiban received in Riyadh yesterday a delegation of senior U.S. Congressional aides currently touring the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Eiban told the delegation that the Commission welcomes such visits, which provide a first-hand perspective of conditions in Saudi Arabia. The members of the delegation, who have visited the Kingdom twice before, commented that their experiences have helped to dispel their misconceptions about Saudi Arabia.
The Congressional aides also met yesterday in Riyadh with Shoura Council Vice-Chairman Dr. Bandar Hamzah Hajjar to discuss ways of enhancing Saudi-U.S. parliamentary cooperation.
