Saudi Arabia delivers 561 tons of dates to WFP

The Kingdom has delivered more than 561 tons of dates to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in support of the organization’s projects in Egypt. A delegation of representatives from the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the Saudi Embassy in Cairo delivered the grant to the Permanent Representative of the WFP’s office in Egypt, Jia Petro Perdinyon, during a reception to mark the occasion. In a statement, the WFP said that Saudi Arabia has always been a leader in providing assistance to its Egyptian branch, adding that dates will help its program to provide nutritious food to the needy in Egypt.
