Acting Health Minister meets with U.S. CDC delegation

Acting Minister of Health Adel bin Mohammed Faqih received a delegation from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Riyadh today. The meeting comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s global cooperation efforts to limit the spread of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). In a statement, Faqih said that the Health Ministry is working with a number of international organizations and agencies to coordinate anti-MERS efforts in the Kingdom and the world. Meanwhile, a CDC spokesperson said that the U.S. team will work with the Kingdom’s specialists to conduct more scientific research.
