Development of 18 SDF-funded vocational institutes in Yemen monitored

During a meeting in Sana’a on Sunday, Saudi and Yemeni officials reviewed the progress of 18 vocational institutes being funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) at a cost of $50 million. SFD Senior Economist Mohammed Al-Ghefili and Yemeni Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Alawi Ba-Faqih discussed the decisions and procedures undertaken over these projects, according to a report by Yemeni News Agency SABA. A report submitted by the Director of the project, Khaled Al-Kumaim, on the development of the technical institutes during the first quarter of 2010 was also reviewed.
