Saudi Arabia, UNICEF sign MoU for polio eradication

The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the donation of $7.5 million by the Kingdom to the organization. The gift comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. The MoU was signed at SFD headquarters in Riyadh by the Fund’s Vice President and Managing Director, Yousef Al-Bassam, and the UNICEF Representative for the Arab Gulf States, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zaiq.
