Prince Khalid honored by U.S. Military Training Mission

Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense, Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, attended the American Military Training Mission’s celebration of its 57th anniversary in Riyadh today. Upon arrival, Prince Khalid was received by the head of the American Military Training Mission, Maj. Gen. Paul Von Sickle, and U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom James Smith. Maj. Gen. Von Sickle honored Prince Khalid with the Golden Medallion of Prince Sultan for his contributions to the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States. Following the awards ceremony, Prince Khalid attended a luncheon during which he was presented with a memorial souvenir.

The ceremony was attended by Chief of the General Staff Gen. Salih bin Ali Al-Muhaiya, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Hussien bin Abdullah Al-Qubail, the heads of the Saudi Armed Forces branches and a number of senior officers of both the Saudi Armed Forces and the American Training Mission.
