Crown Prince receives messages from U.S. Vice President, Secretary of State

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, currently in New York receiving medical treatment, received well-wishes from U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in two separate cables.


Vice President Biden offered greetings from himself and the U.S. President, telling the Crown Prince, "You have had many friends and admirers in the United States of America as well as in the administration of President Barack Obama, who appreciates your role in building and maintaining close partnership between the United States of America and Saudi Arabia." He added, "We appreciate the blessing of life and health bestowed by God upon all of us and I wish you many years full of happiness and health surrounded by those whom you love."

Secretary Clinton also wished the Crown Prince good health, saying, "I look forward to working with you as soon as possible to strengthen the strong partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States of America."
