Saudi human rights official meets with U.N. Commissioner

President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission Dr. Bandar Al-Eiban, who is currently leading a delegation to the 10th session of the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva, met today with U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navanethem Pillay.

 

During the meeting, Pillay praised the development and reform processes adopted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. In particular, she expressed support for the Saudi King’s efforts to promote dialogue between civilizations.

The High Commissioner also welcomed the Kingdom’s $150,000 contribution to the Durban Review World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, to be held in Durban, South Africa next month.
