Saudi-U.S. military exercises conclude

A joint Saudi-U.S. military exercise, dubbed “Friendship II,” was held in the southern region of the Kingdom today. The closing show was attended by Deputy Chief of Staff Gen. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Gubail; Commander of the Air Force Gen. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ayesh; and U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom James Smith. Addressing the gathering, Commander of the Southern Region Maj. Gen. Ali Zaid Khawaji said that the joint exercises help maintain the army’s preparedness, while confirming the strength of relations between the Kingdom and the United States.
