Two Saudi planes arrived in Tajikistan today to aid people affected by severe cold weather. The planes together carried 20 tons of relief assistance, including blankets, carpets and foodstuffs.
The two planes are the third and fourth in a Saudi airlift to Tajikistan that began February 17. In total, eight planes are expected to deliver 80 tons of relief supplies.
The Saudi relief package to Tajikistan also includes a $10 million grant, on the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
