Term extended for tourism chief Prince Sultan bin Salman

A royal decree issued today extended the term of service for Prince Sultan bin Salman as Secretary-General of the Supreme Tourism Commission for four years at the rank of minister, effective February 13, 2008. He was first appointed to the post in 2000.

Prince Sultan is also renowned as the first Arab and Muslim astronaut, having traveled into space as payload specialist aboard the US space shuttle Discovery in 1985.
