Eighth Saudi aid shipment sent to Palestinians

The eighth shipment of Saudi medical supplies bound for Palestinians in Gaza arrived in Al Arish, Egypt today.

 

The delivery, consisting of more than ten tons of medicine and equipment, will be sent to the Palestinian Red Crescent through the Rafah border crossing.

The fifth, sixth and seventh Saudi aid shipments, each weighing twelve tons, arrived in Egypt on January 2, 3 and 4, respectively.

The Saudi airlift was ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to aid Palestinians injured by the Israeli strikes on Gaza. The Kingdom delivered its first shipment, consisting of 20 tons of medical supplies, on December 30.
