OIC expresses concern at tensions along the Chadian-Sudanese border

The Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has called on Chad and Sudan to exercise restraint and ensure that there is no escalation of tension along their borders.
In a statement issued in Jeddah yesterday, OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu expressed concern about recent developments along the Chadian-Sudanese border and said that the OIC stands ready to mediate any dispute.
