Saudi Arabia: an active partner in the fight against terrorism Since the inhuman attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, Saudi Arabia has worked closely with the United States, the United Nations, and other countries and international organizations to help eradicate terrorism. Nearly seven decades after the establishment of diplomatic and economic relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States in 1933, the two countries look back on an era of close cooperation in a wide range of political, economic and social fields.
