Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz held talks in Riyadh yesterday with Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, who is currently heading a high-level trade delegation to the Kingdom.

The Saudi-Irish talks focused on regional developments, particularly the Palestinian issue and the situation in Iraq. Bilateral relations and ways to enhance them were also addressed.

Also last night, Crown Prince Sultan hosted a dinner in honor of Prime Minister Ahern and his delegation.

Ministerial meetings also took place between Saudi Arabia and Ireland during the visit, including in the areas of trade, agriculture and education.
