King Abdullah meets with Quartet Middle East envoy Tony Blair

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today met with the Quartet’s Middle East envoy, Tony Blair, at the royal ranch in Jenadriyah, near Riyadh.

During the meeting, King Abdullah and Blair discussed international efforts to restart the Middle East peace process, in particular next week’s peace conference in Annapolis, Maryland.

The meeting was also attended by Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Chief of General Intelligence Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz and Saudi Ambassador to the US Adel A. Al-Jubeir.

The former British prime minister previously visited the Kingdom in September 2007 for talks with King Abdullah. The Quartet consists of the United Nations, the European Union, Russia and the United States.
