Prince Turki meets with President Bush

Saudi Ambassador Prince Turki Al-Faisal met with President George W. Bush at the White House yesterday to mark the end his tenure in Washington. At the meeting, they discussed Saudi-US cooperation and regional issues.


In a statement after his meeting with the president, Prince Turki expressed his appreciation to the American people for the warm welcome he received during his tours of the country. The response to the tours demonstrated the desire of the American people to move beyond stereotypes and increase understanding with Saudi Arabia.

Yesterday, Prince Turki also held farewell meetings with Vice President Dick Cheney at the White House and Defense Secretary Robert Gates at the Pentagon.
