Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Turki Al-Faisal concluded his term in office with a flurry of events and meetings yesterday.
During the afternoon, Prince Turki participated in a panel discussion on King Abdulaziz and the building of modern Saudi Arabia at Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies.
In a farewell meeting with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Prince Turki highlighted the cooperation shown by the administration during his ambassadorship. The two also discussed various aspects of Saudi-US cooperation and the Kingdom’s efforts to promote stability in the Middle East region.
Last night, Prince Turki attended a farewell reception held in his honor by the Saudi Embassy in Washington. Embassy staff presented Prince Turki with a special commemorative plaque.
Prince Turki also attended a farewell reception at Qorvis Communications.
