During the meeting, the Council approved a national draft plan for communications and information technology. It also began discussing a number of bills on a variety of issues, including the protection of the public utilities system, the extradition of convicted individuals among Gulf Cooperation Council member states, and a Memorandum of Understanding on science and education with India.
In related news, a Shura Council delegation arrived in Al-Aqaba, Jordan today to participate in the 49th Arab Parliamentary Union session, which begins tomorrow.
