Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz chaired a Cabinet session Monday at Riyadh’s al-Yamamah Palace, where he briefed the Cabinet on his talks with foreign leaders and representatives.

The Cabinet commended steps taken to form a unity government in Palestine and expressed hope that these steps will gain international support and lead to an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people due to unjust Israeli actions.

On Iraq, the Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom’s position that Iraq’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity must be maintained, and that foreign actors should not interfere in Iraq’s internal affairs.  The Cabinet also expressed hope that the Baghdad international regional conference would bring about reconciliation among the Iraqi population.
